I swore I posted on this topic before, but it seems I didn't.
As Lyra_Smash did say, most of the skills are based on team stuff, not individual. An I find that very true.
Also Paragons are going to get raped since Leader's Comfort won't work in such a situation.
Kill stealing would be the number one complaint also, you can't really feel good about killing when your kill was snatched by a person roaming for injured players.
Touchers will dominate and most people hate them unless if they're one.
And then tons of problems will spawn once people start playing it. Just like any other game.

I guess your right, but if random spawn+huge map is added, people camping places wont make sense, because you won't know where people will pop up. But dude, if we take your mentality nothing new will ever arise, because you can always argue a technically valid arguement that problems will spawn no matter what new thing is added.

But, there are many problems with the skills. For the Paragon, it's ultimate screwage for them. Most of their skills rely on party members, same with their primary attribute.
Kill Steals will go rampant creating angry people....
Touchers, Minion Masters, Dervishes will probably be the only things that can fair in such a fight anyway with so many people and that there's no team.

/signed I believe if this RPG had a deathmatch option it would rock...im sick of un balanced RA teams or sometimes you just wanna kill people for Faction points....im used to playing FPS and their death match concept, weither frags would work , i think possibly a FFA King of the hill idea would work very easyily in a set time place. As for rewards? maybe instead of holding the Halls, a player could "hold the hill"...rewards? hmm maybe specialized greens or items similar to the Wintersday golds that are really broken or really godly...that can be exchanged for token rewards much like WoW's new pvp honor system

Aside form Wammo I am sure there are builds to be made self sufficient, it looks like fun for immortal elementalists, and escape rangers.
It would require a few new skills from a next expansion perhaps, but I'm sure it would own, making people think out of the box for new builds entirely different from team arenas.
A ritualist setting up and maintaining a spirit fortes on the hill for instance.
And mesmers would not do that well as their self heals are the worst of all classes(this is to balance out their skill in 1v1) this does not mean mine does not use second prof heals

people dont seem to realize that while you are trying to kill a person or just trying to hex or crip and kite there could be three other people running around waiting to jump on you. so a mes that throws his skills around on one person could get ganked by another at the same time. there is no build that will own. In my opinion they should make each match random. one time be kill count. next last man standing, next something else. this way there wont be any build meant directly to stay alive only.

I mean, sure some things could be added, but i think the premise is correct. Obviously it wont be as simply of putting 50 people in 1 arena and just letting them fight each other, so think carefully before signing/unsigning and possibly new additions to the idea you can bring.

Guild wars is team based and It should stay that way.
If this does come into being, then the "last man standing" way would be terrible because it would just result in people running incredably defensive builds while they let all the other people kill every for them - until the final 2 where it doesnt really matter what happens because they would have gotten 2nd place (out of 30 that is really good). So i would have to say "most kills wins" is the best idea. I do not like the idea of a 1 v all match in the first place but if we had to have it then I would go with that "most kills wins".

Again like I stated it wont be like RA format rules or something, it wouldnt make sense with the 1vs1 style format. It is true guild wars is team based, but just think about how many players dont have adaquete guilds or players to play with, this would be very good for the casual player.
